A furled body nymph with a twist - literally.
Nick Thomas
Nymph
Easy
- Run on the thread behind the bead and build up turns to lock it in place.
- Line up the ends of three leg strands and roll between fingers and thumbs to twist them. Bring the ends together and allow the strands to furl together.
- Tie in the furled section with the free ends either side of the bead.
- Dub over the thread turns, pull back the ends and dub against the bead.
- Smear the thread with varnish. Whip finish and cut the thread.
- Pull the legs together around the front of the fly and trim to length.
